The Day's Recap

Our third regatta of the year brought out 6 skippers.  Micheal as well as Wilkes made it for the first time this year.  Steve was unable to attend this month.  The winds started and remained steady through out the daty.  The first five races had Bill and Pip dukeing it out for first place position with the remainder of the fleet close behind.

After the lunch break, Bill had repeated love affairs with the reaching mark and managed to get hung up twice and watched the entire fleet sail by and took last place finishes in both.  One required the assistance of the crash boat to free the entangled keel from the weighted anchor line.

Wilkes had some mechanical troubles and missed the first five races but sailed after the lunch breaK.  Michael had consistent scores and finished with as respectable 3rd overall for the day.  Cliff and Ron struggled with tuning issues most of the day, but did enjoy it when Bill was stranded on the buoy.  Pip remained steady as was the case last month and had the honors for the day again.
