10th race cancelled due to only 2 boats left to compete. Must have 3 boats to constitute a race.

A beautiful, sunny morning greeted the skippers today, with light, shifting winds. After lunch the wind brightened to over 10 mph or more.

Equipment problems were the rule of the day, though. Beginning with the Tugboat with no power to the motor. Wilkes delayed the maiden voyage of his newly completed #1564 for last minute adjusting.

Bill dropped out of the 1st race with an intermittent connection below deck, leaving Pip to nab that elusive bullet, and  total of 4 bullets for the day, but a wet receiver ended Pip's run after the 6th race.

Bill came back in the second race with a bullet but continuing equipment issues forced him to be sidelined after race 5.

Michael, after a very much improved showing in March, came back after lunch with straight bullets for the remaining 4 races and was the only skipper to complete every race. Ron is developing his racing thumbs as well, moving from the rear of the pack to the middle. Equipment caused Ron to drop out in the 9th race.

Gary and Wilkes "battled" it out for 4th place, with Gary narrowly topping Wilkes by 1 point. Gary was taken out by a 3 boat collision, losing his deck cleat and the use of his jib in the 9th race.

When it came time to start the 10th race, only Ron and Michael where at the start line; not enough boats to qualify as a race, ending the day after only nine races.
