Throw out score highlighted

The first day of spring provided beautiful weather for our season opener. The winds were fairly light at the start of the day at about 1-2 mph, freshening to about 10-12mph in the afternoon. On the water, there were frequent lulls and puffs.

Bill Wright came out of the gate with 10 bullets and left the actual competing to the rest of the club! The hot competition was for 2nd place with Pip Ziman and Cliff Craig, both scoring 23. Cliff took the tie breaker with 5 Second place finishes to Pip's 4 . Steve Delva secured 4th place for the day with 40 points followed by Gary Watson with 46, Michael Solomon with 49 and our newest sailor, Ron DeBlasi with 54.

Wiles Joy was present and did scoring duties for the first 5 races. He anticipates having his boat completed for next month. Many of the races were close and it looks like this will be an exciting season.
