Regatta Score Sheet

     Once again we were fortunate to welcome a new member, Jeff Solinger, who got to put his boat in the water for the first time at the 8/16 get together.  He comes from a backround of full scale sailing, so it won't take long before he gets used to the radio control.
    The weather was beautiful, with nice wind throughout the day  starting out around  6 mph and building to about 10 mph.  Once again, Bill had his scoresheet full of bullets scoring another perfect 9 on the day. Pip was right on top of Bill for the first half of the day but began to fade in the second half because of battery issues. Bob improved over last month and had a strong first five races taking a second place finish in the 3rd race and finishing 3rd for the day.  Gary started off slow but began to get the feel for conditions in the second half of the day, scoring 2 second place finishes but not strong enough to score higher than 4th place.
    Jeff didn't get his boat into the water until after lunch and had to leave early so his score was handicapped  by 7 DNS's.   Jeff found his boat on the Yahoo CR 914 group. His boatis pictured on the right.  The blue boat on the left will hopefully join us next month!
