March Report

Threatening skies and stiff breezes greeted the 2008 season opener for the Shoreline Model Yacht Club. Despite less than ideal conditions, everyone was anxious to dust off their boats and their racing skills and get back in the water. We were forced to move our course location from our customary one in order to set our marks. However, this resulted in a very short windward leg.

Bill and Pip both experienced control problems and were forced to withdraw leaving only Cliff,
Gary and Steve to compete. Cliff swept all of the heats earning 9 points while Gary and Steve each
received 22 points after 1 throw out.

The club is working on getting more new members to the fleet. So if you know of anyone who
would be interested in joining let us know.
