Stiff breezes from a departing cold front greeted the four
sailors who participated in the next to last race of the 2007 season. After
struggling in the last several races getting his boat tuned just right, Gary
Watson seemed to have found the right formula. With impressive starts, Gary posted two first
place and two second place finishes, giving him a overall score of 24 for the
day.
Cliff continues to give strong performances with five wins
and four second places with overall score of 17, putting him in first place for
the day’s races. Steve and Bill were plagued by boat and handling problems in
the 10 to 15 mph conditions. Steve managed to secure a first place and four
seconds with an overall total of 25. Bill’s boat broke a jib pad eye and was
unable to compete in the remaining races.
Next month will be the last race of the season and the
results should make for some very close finishes in the overall standings
