Our August regatta had a reduced, but very competitive,
fleet under nearly perfect conditions. The repairs and tuning that Gary made to his boat
were evident resulting in better starts and tighter separations from the fleet.
Pip could not be with us for the entire day due to other commitments but posted
two first places and four second place for six races.
Bill continued to show why he is first in the standing with
six first places and three second places. Steve’s results also improved with
two first places. The entire fleet, although reduced in numbers, seemed to be
more competitive as the new sailor’s skills and strategy improve. We are hopeful that the September regatta
will see a full complement of boats and some spirited racing.
